Women of Purpose

In 1996, Danna Demetre met in her home with eight other women who prayed and discussed how they could reach women all over San Diego with the life-changing truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. In 1997, they began holding regular outreach events in local hotels where women would come to hear authentic women tell of how Christ had transformed them for eternity. Since that time thousands of women have heard the gospel and many have responded . September, 2005 marked the 50th such event. Women of Purpose also publishes a quarterly periodical packed with excellent articles and information relevant to women. Independent recording artist and popular singer and speaker,  Sylvia Lange moves audiences profoundly everywhere she goes. She has been featured on the Christian television show,“Life Today”. She has also toured with her group, Crimson Bridge and performed with such Christian greats as Sandi Patty, and Larnelle Harris. Most recently, they have shared the stage with renowned Bible teacher Beth Moore.  In addition to having recorded two albums with Crimson Bridge, her debut solo album “Not So Far Away” continues to sell out and Sylvia looks forward to her next release “Cover Girl”, to be out next year.  Sylvia is known for her passion and raw openness as she shares the triumphs and trials of her own journey back to God through both the spoken word and song.  She believes her "experience, strength and hope" is really all she has to offer and is honored to share it with any who will listen.
